Cookie Policy

This policy applies to LSAT Score Converter and every other page on this site. It covers two kinds of browser storage: cookies, which are small files a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits, and local storage, which keeps data in your browser without sending it to any server.

It lists everything the site's own code stores, plus the cookies Google Analytics sets if you accept, with what each is for and how long it lasts. Cloudflare, which provides our DNS and security, and our hosting provider handle requests under their own terms. What happens to analytics data after it reaches Google is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Nothing from us. Until you press Accept or Reject in the cookie banner, the site's code sets no cookies and writes nothing to local storage. No script from Google or any other third party loads.

Our fonts and images are served from our own domain, so browsing the site without accepting analytics makes no third-party requests. The converter and calculator run entirely in your browser. The scores and answers you type are never sent anywhere or saved.

When you press Accept or Reject, the site saves your answer in local storage under the key lsc.cookie-consent.v1. This is not a cookie. It holds three things: whether you allowed analytics, the time you chose, and a version number for the format.

The entry exists so the banner does not ask you again on every page. It never leaves your browser and is not sent to us or to Google. It stays until you change your choice, clear your browser's site data or use a private window that discards data when closed.

If you press Accept, the site loads Google Analytics 4 from www.googletagmanager.com. Google Analytics then sets two first-party cookies on this site's domain. We use Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages and tools they use.

The purposes and lifetimes above are Google's own wording from its GA4 cookie usage page. The second cookie's name ends in the ID of our Analytics property. Google also notes that browsers may shorten these lifetimes if you do not come back: Chrome caps them at 400 days and Safari at 7 days.

Accepting grants only the analytics consent type. We also switch off Google signals and ad personalization signals in the Analytics settings. Per Google's documentation of those settings, our events are then not used for ads personalization or for demographics and interests reports.

The site runs no ads, no affiliate links, no advertising pixels and no social media embeds, so it sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own.

Google's consent settings keep advertising storage switched off even after you accept analytics. The ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization consent types stay set to denied at all times. Google describes what each one controls on its consent mode overview.

If you press Reject, the site saves that choice in local storage and nothing else happens. Google Analytics never loads, your browser makes no request to Google, and no _ga cookies are set.

Every page, the converter and the calculator work exactly the same whichever button you press. If you leave the banner unanswered, analytics stays off.

You can change your mind at any time. Use this button, or the Cookie settings button in the footer of every page:

Either button clears your saved choice, sets Google Analytics consent to denied, deletes the _ga and _ga_ cookies from this site and reloads the page. The banner then appears again so you can pick Accept or Reject.

Deleting the cookies stops any further measurement from your browser. It does not remove data Google Analytics received before you changed your choice. Our privacy policy, linked above, explains how that data is handled.

Every major browser lets you block cookies, delete them, or clear all data a site has stored. Look for privacy, cookies or site data in your browser's settings.

• Blocking cookies for this site does not break any page or tool.
• Clearing this site's data removes both the analytics cookies and your saved choice, so the banner will ask you again.
• A private or incognito window keeps nothing after you close it, including your choice.

If we add, remove or change anything the site stores in your browser, we will update this page and the Last updated date at the top.
